Also Nicolas spotted a VV mammogram-o-rama on a fro'ed out amigo "it was taken in Colombia (South America) just outside of an ATM and i was going to a 70's par-teh!!"

Finally, here's Double D and friends punching bowls not kids by some bright golden balls.

Wild! Free shirts! Hooray!

Outside Lands Update

The Vintage Vantage Shirt Shop and Hug Emporium had a fantastic day at Outside Lands in San Francisco yesterday.

There are bins and racks of sweet t-shirts, trampolines for major jumping pleasure, and a full menu of FREE hugs to choose from. And people were getting creative with the hugs, ordering off the menu - sources say try the super underground vibe sandwich, or the double decker.

Also available in the tent are some brand new shirts, hot off the presses, not even on the website yet - like the amazing Stay at Home Gypsy shirt.

We'll be out there the rest of the weekend, so come on down and get fresh.

Lulu gives the best sweaty hugs!

Thanks Thomas for the rockin photos!

Space Camp Improv

NYC Funnyman Jason Shebiro makes us laugh like hyena. He sent us this photo and had this to say about it:

I am very much digging the Take Me To Space Camp shirt that I purchased from you lovely folks.... so much so that I wore it while on stage at this year's Del Close Marathon at NYC's Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. DCM is the biggest long-form improv comedy festival of the year. Thought I'd pass along the pics to let you know that I totally took all of those fools to Space Camp (thanks to you!)

Ladies-Only Modelfest

We had a vintage t-shirt modeling party last night, and a whole slew of fresh and fantastic new models and old favorites graced the catwalk.

Look for all their hard work to hit the internet in the coming weeks, starting very soon, like possibly today.

The one-of-a-kind shirts will be available on either eBay or the Top Shelf.

Notes from the Emporium

  • So good to meet the extended VV family! Julian from El Paso stopped by with his crew, pictured at right in their new tees. Big ups.

  • New hugs are invented damn near every day. Recently we've seen the barbie hug, the armless hug, and the perilous backwards handstand hug.

  • A couple weeks ago we brought out the mystery bins (pictured to the right below Julian) - one in each size. Dig in the crates and find some VV gems from yesteryear, including some shirts that never hit the website. Best part - they're only $5 each.

  • We're hitting the streets! Come visit John & friends at the Indie Mart this Sunday in Potrero Hill for a taste of what makes San Francisco so damn fun. Deets here.

  • We're going to Outside Lands! OL is a huge music festival in Golden Gate Park and the Hug Emporium has its own booth. We also designed some fly v-necks for the fest... if you're headed to this, please come say hi, we'll be hugging it out in the Ecovillage.

  • Come to the shop and get the new shirts first! Just today somebody bought Bite Me and Peer Pressure, which you internet folk didn't even know about. All the new shirts are only $15 if you get 'em in person.

by William O. Johnson

Coke, tea, or an ice cold glass of water left in the fridge,
no one is to bother.
For an hour or two I work hard in and around the house,
thinking of how refreshing, the cold glass of liquid will be.
But upon my return, and much to my dismay, someone drank my stuff!
The question is who drank my stuff?
"Not I," she laughed.
"I don't know baby,"
"It wasn't me Daddy,"
These were the replies.
My heart was hurt and my throat so dry,
My hands and back hurt I almost cried.
I could not move, at least not from the fridge,
They drank my stuff, something must give.
This is not fair, this is not right,
They drank my stuff, I'm ready to fight!
I will get them whoever they are.
They drank my stuff, they have gone too far.
Who drank my stuff, I just want to know,
But no one owned up to drinking my stuff.

VV in the Wild #2

Some more entries for VV in the Wild free t-shirt giveaway have come in, and they're fantastico.

The deal again is - you send us a photo of Vintage Vantage stickers or shirts you've spotted in real life. We send you a free t-shirt. Everybody smiles and dances.

Here our friend Mathieu spotted a VV Hippo
shirt all up in da club.

Our friend JJ spotted a bunch of VV stickers on a bulletin board. She says: This is my bulletin board at work. I put them up to make me smile when I’m not having fun. You can’t see it but to the left is Coach’s Kitshickers Player Card.

And lastly but not leastly, Brandon spotted a sticker, too.

He says: "Here is a sticker in the wild, on a hospital vending machine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. When not resting this sticker can be seen stalking prey, and probably high fiving other stickers in the wild."
