275 Million!
That's a crapload. The same amount of water goes over Niagara Falls in 6 minutes.
Makes us thirsty.

Cool Hunting Loves Vintage Vantage
So, there's this blog called Cool Hunting. They hunt down cool stuff on the internet and elsewhere and compile it for you, free of charge. Pretty damn cool.
Our buddy Mike Giles at CH just did a profile on Vintage Vantage, including a little interview w/ John. Check it out here.
And while you're at it, check out Mike's company - Furni Creations. They make amazing wooden digital clocks, among other things.

Meet the Models - Al Howard
Who's that rockstar modeling the latest Vintage Vantage originals?
Why it's Ocean Beach, San Diego's very own tree humper, Al Howard.
JamBase describes his band, Al Howard and the K23 Orchestra, as combining "in the pocket funk, staccato spoken word, classic soul, aggressive rock and vintage psychedelic. Their music style moves seamlessly through tightly arranged changes to extended open jams with powerful crescendos and quick shifts in dynamic, while Al Howard's lyrics transcend a style or genre, appealing to humanity's most primal essence."
Check him out, and keep humping those trees!

Curious Nacho and Bunnies from Yarn!
Curious Nacho likes to look at the many things on ebay, sometimes he asks questions about them. For example...
Original item description:
Hello! I am very interested in your angora yarn because one of my two rabbits just passed away and I would like to try to make a friend for the one who's still alive. (Smokey.) I was wondering if you think there's enough of this angora yarn in 1805 yds to form into a rabbit that Smokey would play with. Thanks for your help, Nacho |
Hello! Yes, you can make! |

Vintage Shirt Modeling
Today is the day at Vintage Vantage where we take photos of people wearing old shirts that someone has thrown away to Goodwill.
A lot can go wrong, but a lot can go right.
All the shirts end up on the Top Shelf or in our eBay auctions.
Happy St. Patrick's Day, ya buncha micks!

Teach Yourself to Crochet
Do you know how to crochet?
What's your favorite thing you've ever crocheted?
We tried to learn but the pictures in this magazine look confusing like spaghetti hanging off chopsticks. It looks like a joyful hobby though.

Word to the Mothership!
Phish is back! It's been nearly five years since the boys from Vermont last took the stage, but this past weekend at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, VA (aka "the Mothership") it was just like old times for the 13,800 lucky souls who were able to get their hands on tickets. Check some pics of the action below, which included quite a few Vintage Vantage sightings (big ups to the random dude in the Bump shirt!) and click here to download the shows for free at livephish.com.

Asparagus Pee
Ever notice your whizz smells funny after eating asparagus?
It's nothing to worry about, asparagus contains a sulfur compound called mercaptan. It is also found in onions, garlic, rotten eggs, and in the secretions of skunks. The smell occurs when this substance is broken down in your digestive system.
And that's one to grown on.
