Vintage Vantage is hitting the road this weekend - packing up shop and heading to sunny San Francisco! Exciting developments await, including a VV retail storefront (!)... more on that later. Adios, Mateo!

It is a sad day at Vintage Vantage headquarters - after five amazing years, Matt "Mateo" Duerr is leaving us. Mateo's fun-loving spirit and boundless energy have kept this silly little boat afloat since before the beginning of time (remember when the site looked like this?) and we're going to miss the shit out of him. Below are a few of our favorite Mateo moments (remember the Get Fresh w/ Mateo dating show when girls from around the world competed for his heart?)... you can click here for a more extensive photo retrospective on Mateo's career in fresh. Make Your Own Polaroids!

Man alive, did we ever stumble across a fun website. Make your own polaroids at www.poladroid.net.

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but it takes your photos and does something with the coloring and the darkened edges, then adds the classic white border and boom - you've got a pretty darn authentic looking faux-laroid.

Perfect for adding pizazz to your favorite myspace/facebook photos, we've developed a serious addiction to this thing.

Tip - If you want to get really fancy, you can tinker with your photo's hue/saturation in photoshop before putting it through the blender, it will change the effect a bit.

One of Vintage Vantage's best-loved models Mega has spent the past six months learning and traveling in Guatemala, rocking the mierda out of her Vintage Vantage Saturday shirt, and stealing bread from children.

So what's going on in this photo?

Mega says: "This is my host daughter of 2 weeks. The photo was taken right after upsetting her because I selfishly made her share some bread with me, we saw her in the street and we made up. I loved this girl."
